Public
Sector Reform
Governments need to devise viable and appropriate macroeconomic
policies for the development of their countries but are faced with
limited resources. Their ability to achieve their economic and social
aims is dependent upon the efficiency and focus of government and
the public administration institutions need to be professional,
efficient, flexible and transparent.
IDP has successfully provided advice to governments in a number
of countries on these issues, ranging from developing the initial
modalities for the reform/restructuring through to the human and
institutional capacity development.
